Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Construction Oversight Engineer opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop procedures for regulatory oversight of the construction of Reactor unit(s)
- Provide inspection oversight of the construction of Reactor unit(s), leveraging in-depth knowledge of NRC regulations and inspection procedures
- Independently identify issues of concern, proactively communicate with management within the Regulatory Construction Oversight organization, and recommend regulatory paths that resolve the issues of concern.
Job Qualifications:
- 18+ years of experience with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), including time spent as a qualified inspector (reactors)
- In depth knowledge of regulations, codes, standards, and guidance related to nuclear power reactors
- Ability to work independently and with a questioning attitude
- Ability to apply knowledge, skills, and qualifications to a first-of-a-kind design
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field desired (desired).
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to succinctly and promptly communicate matters of significance across a diverse audience (e.g., contractors, Company management) and work collaboratively to develop solutions to complex problems.
- The service provider will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and demonstrate a strong desire to foster teamwork.
- Travel Required: 75%.

- Job Type: Contract
- Pay Rate Range: $84-$135/hr. (Pay rates are approved based on candidate location, education and experience)
- Location: 100% Remote Acceptable
- Export control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, or of a protected person status
