Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting hybrid or REMOTE contract Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis Engineer opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform state-of-the-art CFD analysis in exploration of reactor architecture options including component selections, configurations, and sizing in support of pre-conceptual design of a first of a kind nuclear reactor system.
- Work with cross-disciplinary teams to analyze the thermal and mechanical design considerations for said reactor and its components.
- Provide supporting CFD analysis for diverse systems associated with the above reactor.
- Provide technical presentations on analyses performed to the broader team.
- Prepare informal and formal reports to document findings and make reasoned recommendations.
Job Qualifications:
- 10+ yrs experience in nuclear, mechanical, or chemical engineering fields; other fields such as physics, applied mathematics, and aerospace engineering may be considered.
- Demonstrated expertise with a modern CFD tool (StarCCM+, ANSYS FLUENT/CFX, M-Star, OpenFOAM, etc.).
- Experience with heat exchanger design and analysis with a tool such at HTRI a plus.
- Expertise with one or more CAD modeling tools; SolidWorks preferred.
- Strong communication skills desired.
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork.
- Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications.
