Job Description: Protingent has a direct hire opportunity for a Composite Engineer with our client in Pittsburgh, PA
Job Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with composites
- Experience with composite laminate design including layup definitions
- Experience in material and component testing of composites
- CAD and lifecycle management tools (SolidWorks & Teamcenter preferred)
- Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA, ANSYS preferred)
- Experience developing primary structure and mechanical systems for spacecraft, aircraft, rotorcraft, or launch vehicles
- Hands-on fabrication experience of composite components
- Experience with Advanced manufacturing techniques such as Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) and Out-Of-Autoclave (OOF)
- Advanced knowledge of finite element analysis with layered composite structures (ANSYS ACP preferred)
- Experience correlating analysis predictions to test results and failure
Job Details:
- Direct Hire Onsite only.
- Salary Range: $70-$115k
