Job Description
Position Description: Protingent has an exciting contract Buyer II opportunity with our client in Merritt Island, FL.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supporting sourcing for NASA programs.
- Identifying potential sources & preparing and issuing competitive Requests for Quote
- Writing price reasonableness determinations/price analyses in support of supplier quotes (when required)
- Support negotiations of all types (when required).
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience, master’s degree with 3 years of experience in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related degree
- Interprets and applies company policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards, and U.S. government regulations, i.e., FAR, DFAR, SOX Compliance
- Ensure the timely and effective completion of projects and initiatives of the supply chain department.
- Ability to write price reasonableness determinations/price analyses of all types per FAR requirements
- Experience supporting negotiations of all types, including, but not limited to, pricing, terms and conditions, FAR/customer contract flowdowns, and schedule
- Working understanding of AS9100 standards
- Knowledge of Engineering Data such as specifications, drawings, & statements of work
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multitask, and prioritize workload
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in the procurement of avionics, machined parts, and raw materials
- Experience working in Costpoint, Exostar, Windchill, SharePoint, JIRA, Tableau
- Experience working with Certified Cost or Pricing Data
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Location: Merritt Island, FL.
- Pay range: $47-52/hr.
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
