Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for Senior Full Stack Developer with our client located in San Mateo, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clean slate product, minimal legacy code, high-leverage technical decisions
- Fast pace, constantly shipping and iterating with users
- Applied AI challenges (GPT, vision, reasoning)

- 8+ years of building for the web with a thorough understanding of backend (API design, databases, security), modern frontend (TypeScript, React/Vue, SPA), and cloud/infra (scaling, reliability, containerization with Docker, AWS).
- Experience with modern development practices (dev tooling, CI/CD, IaC, etc).
- Experience with a multitude of languages (including Python, TypeScript), paradigms, and frameworks, and ability to learn and introduce new ones quickly.
- A systematic and rational approach to technical decision-making.
- Proven track record of making architectural decisions, experience in selecting modern frameworks and tools.

- Ideal candidate would either be a founding engineer in an early stage startup or have experience building a full stack system from ground up in a leading role.
- Comfortable shaping the product in collaboration with adjacent roles (Product, Design/UX).
- Strong sense of ownership, including troubleshooting production, and talking to customers

• Salary Range: $180K to $220K annually.
• Location: San Mateo, CA (Onsite)
