Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for an Assembler 2 with our client in Everett, Washington.
Job Responsibilities:
- Metrics to define standards for productivity, quality, and cost. Incumbent is responsible for meeting all defined standards.
- Proficient in essential functions of Assembler 1 role
- Use work instructions, schematics, blueprints, wiring lists, parts lists, and verbal and written instructions to assemble, build, modify or reassemble intermediate-level assemblies and mechanical subassemblies such as but not limited to front panels
- Correctly solder wires to connectors
- Accurately execute component touch-up and rework
- Efficiently pick and issue materials
- Perform in-process inspection
- Train Assembler 1 employees
- Actively suggest ideas for process improvements and cost savings (improve time, reduce waste, etc.)
- Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices
- Responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment.
Job Qualifications:
- IPC Certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- One year of small parts assembly experience, preferably in aerospace, required
- Demonstrated proficiency with intermediate level soldering of small parts/components
- Use of hand tools and experience with assembling from schematics
- Intermediate general software competence and ability to use Office Suite
- Strong focus and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong focus on customer service
- Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract to hire
- Location: Everett, Washington.
- Shift Times: M – Th: 6a – 3:30p, F: 6a – 2:30p
- Pay Rate Range: $26/hr-$29.00/hr
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role; U.S. Citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
