Aerospace CNC Technician III (C Shift)

Job Description
Position Description: Protingent has a contract opportunity for a CNC Technician with our client in Merritt Island, FL.
Job Qualifications:
- 7+ Years Aerospace Experience.
- 5-7 Years CNC Operating Experience.
- Knowledge of drawing review, scheduling systems, work order systems, inventory, and various issue tracking systems.
- Ability to use standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment (band saw, chop saw, grinders, drills, etc.)
- Capable of using precision tools to accurately measure tight tolerances (calipers, height gauge, scales, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
- Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Climb ladders and stairs, and work in small, restricted areas.
- Lift and carry 25 lbs.
- 5+ Years CNC tube bending experience.
- CNC programming experience.
- Tube bending experience (CNC and Hand Bending).
- Ability to use of 3D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.
- Experience measuring and inspecting tube assemblies using a vector measuring machine.
- Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware.
- Clean room experience
- Work with engineers to review design concepts, provide feedback for ease of assembly, and support development tests.
- Review, edit and follow work instructions for assembly tasks.
Job Details:
- 6 month contract can be extended
- Pay Rate: Depending on experience and varies on shift
- Location: Merritt Is. Florida-Onsite
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
