Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting Acoustic Engineer opportunity with our client in Bothell, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct acoustic assessments and measurements to analyze sound profiles.
- Design and implement solutions to improve sound quality and reduce noise levels.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate acoustical considerations into design.
- Utilize acoustic modeling software for simulations and predictions.
- Research and stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Provide technical expertise in meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and implement testing protocols to validate acoustical performance.
- Troubleshoot and address acoustical issues with components and aircraft cabins.
- Ensures designs meet customer criteria, quality standards, and FAA requirements.
- Adheres to budget and project schedules.
- Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aviation background and aircraft interior experience desired.
- Proven experience in acoustics, sound engineering, or noise control.
- Proficiency in acoustic modeling software (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and documents.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality acoustical solutions.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.

- Location: Fully Remote
- Salary Range: $110,697-$136,000
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
