AWS Systems Development Engineer

Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting hybrid Contract AWS Systems Development Engineer opportunity located in Bellevue, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Day to day support of AWS infrastructure supporting enterprise applications.
- Perform infrastructure maintenance, installations and upgrades of distributed systems.
- Setup and enhance system monitoring and alert mechanisms using AWS tools to ensure health of the system.
- Work support tickets from end users and product owners.
- Troubleshoot issues with jobs scheduling, transport management, and printer administration.
- Perform system refresh, transport management, OSS notes validations and installs.
- Enhance and support highly available (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
- Patching activities including operating system and databases.
- Drive automation of infrastructure automation activities.
- Maintain architecture documentation, runbooks for all infrastructure and networking components.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience supporting AWS services and infrastructure.
- 4+ years experience with Cloud Formation.
- 3+ years of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS.
- 3+ years of scripting using Python, TypeScript or Ansible.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Red Hat Certificated Systems Administrator (RHCSA).
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid).
- Pay Rate Range: $70/hr-$100/hr.
