Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Engineering Lab Technician opportunity in Everett, WA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Use metrics to define standards for productivity, quality, and cost. Incumbent is responsible for meeting all defined standards.
- Successfully and efficiently breadboards, develops, trouble-shoots, and evaluates prototypes.
- Accurately records test data specified by test plans.
- Evaluates documents, drawings, and schematics looking for recording and reporting errors or ambiguities.
- Repairs and maintains lab testers and equipment when necessary.
- Assists in the instruction of new employees or more junior personnel.
- Participates in the general maintenance of the Lab.
Job Qualifications:
- Aerospace Industry required or equivalent in medical device-electronics background (FAA and FDA require similar product certifications. Military background in electronics will be considered.)
- Engineering Lab experience.
- EMI/Environmental test support experience.
- Component level troubleshooting and solder/rework experience.
- Soldering tools for component level rework
- Hand Tools
- DMM, Oscilloscope, IR/Hi-Pot tester, AC/DC Power supplies, Milli-Ohm meter for case bonding test
- MS Office applications – Word, Excel, Teams
- Able to identify electronic component symbols and read schematics (all levels)
- Perform component level troubleshooting and fault isolation (mid and senior levels)
Job Details:
- Job Type: Short Term Contract (60 days) with possibility of long-term conversion.
- Location: Everett, WA -Must be onsite
- Pay Rate: $35-$42
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.

Initially, I focused on supporting our spaceflight clients, later expanding to industries such as sustainable energy and nuclear power. When I’m not recruiting, I love spending time outdoors – hiking, camping, roller skating, reading in parks, and swimming in Lake Union (when the Seattle weather permits). I also enjoy thrift shops, sewing/up-cycling clothes, and shooting 35mm film.
