Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire opportunity for Laboratory Engineer/Scientist with our client located in Oakdale, MN.
Job Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will join a team of scientists for development of immunoassays used for In Vitro Diagnostics.
- Follow all necessary laboratory chemical safety and biosafety rules as well as operation protocols.
- Conduct studies to optimize reagent formulations and reaction conditions for immunoassays on automated IA analyzers.
- Performing basic statistical data analysis for test results.
- Troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation issues when they occur.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor, or Master Degree, with 1-5 years relevant experience in Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry, Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or other related field with hands on laboratory experience.
- Previous experience in assay development or clinical laboratory is preferred.
- ASCP certification is a plus.
- Having research publications is a plus but not required.
Skills and Ability:
- Proficiency in laboratory instrument setup, operation and maintenance.
- Capable of performing data analysis using statistical tools.
- Good analytical skills and detail-oriented.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point etc.).
Physical Demands:
- Able to lift < 10 lbs.
- Able to sit and stand.

- Pay Range: 70K-78K annually
- Location: Oakdale, MN
