Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Senior Technical Specialist opportunity with oour client in Fremont, Ca.
Job Responsibilities:
- Completes both routine and complex assignments involved in the installation, maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of systems.
- Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of imaging techniques, technologies, radiological practices, and procedures in resolving highly complex equipment failures.
- Provides subject matter expertise of imaging techniques, technologies, radiological practices, and procedures in providing guidance to medical device project teams.
- Coordinates and works effectively with other support departments.
- Supports PPE program, educates and ensures proper PPE and safety guidelines in and around Angio labs
- Performs advanced testing and troubleshooting of advanced imaging or radiological devices involving their interfaces and connections to other medical devices or information systems either directly or through the facility's hardwired and wireless networks.
- Loads operating system (OS) and clinical application software as needed.
- Maintains required medical physicist reports and other device reports for all assigned imaging devices.
- Identifies hazards during routine job performance and takes action to ensure they are addressed and corrected.
- Maintains knowledge of the state of the art in medical technology, including scientific advances, network protocols, and vendor changes.
- Provides training and education as appropriate
- Performs all duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintains accurate records of work.
- Works in accordance with quality system procedures.
- Maintains compliance to relevant training.\
- Exert up to 15 pounds of force when grasping and pinching (model assembly), exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move (carrying/lift large In vitro models, lead aprons and fluid bath).
- Lifting of up to 15 pounds (on occasion).
- Ability to wear ~12lbs of radiation protection clothing for up to 8 hours per day (~20 hours/month).
- Supports the scheduling and organization of Preclinical customer engagement and employee training activities.
- Setup/clean large and small models used for Marketing, Preclinical and R&D activities.
- Maintains preclinical labs schedule and assistance with cleaning and inventory management.
- Lead Operator of fluoroscope and scheduling of usage.
- Independently works with R&D, Med Ed, Marketing, Sales and other NV and non-NV groups to assist with scheduling and operation of the device.
- Fluoroscope calibration/maintenance.
- Assisted EH&S on radiation inspections.
- train NV employees on use of the fluoroscope.
- Two-year Technical Degree (i.e., AA, Certificate) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of X-Ray/Angio/Cath Lab technician experience
- Phillips experience desired
- Medical Device experience bonus
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Effective organization skills
- Dependable and cooperative, Service Minded, team attitude
