UX Designer 4
Job Description
Position Description: Protingent has an exciting contract opportunity for a UX Designer 4 with our client located in Redmond, WA. This role is fully remote.
Job Description:
- The main function of a UX/UI Developer is to develop, create, and modify user interfaces through and understanding of end-user needs.

Job Responsibilities:
- Engages with the business development team and/or customer early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers’ business problem/goals.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
- Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications
- Purpose of the Team: This team is part of Engineering Architecture (EAG), is a niche group within Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD).The purpose of this team is to define new standards, deliver tools, and find new ways to improve delivery processes for ISD, making them more efficient and effective.
- Key projects: This role will contribute to a specific product called Chrysalis, which is an IP collection tool. Additionally, the worker will be involved in projects related to IP management and knowledge repository tools, with a focus on improving user experience and tool requirements
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The worker will be expected to be independent and be able to manage their own schedule and take the lead in driving the project forward. So the role will consist of 1) understanding the environment, goals, and outcomes with the team, 2) Scheduling and conducting meetings with full-time employees (FTEs) to gather requirements and understand user needs 3) Leading meetings, driving conversations, and asking relevant questions to gather necessary information 4) Documenting requirements and translating them into actionable items for the tool team 5) Managing their own schedule and ensuring flexibility to accommodate global team meeting.
Job Qualifications:
- Must Have 8+ years’ experience with strong communication skills, both in listening and articulating requirements.
- Must Have 8+ years’ experience with requirement gathering and documentation
- Must Have 8+ years’ experience with knowledge of IP and asset gathering.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
- 8+ years’ experience required
- Experience in software design and development
- Experience in professional UI development
- Experience with data-driven UI development
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- The ideal resume would contain experience with M Caps 2) Experience with Chryusalis IP collection tool, 3) experience with IP management and knowledge repository tools 4) Clear documentation of past roles, responsibilities, and achievements 5) proven experience in requirement gathering and documentation.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Location: Fully Remote
- Pay Range: $56/hr. to $72/hr.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass a background check will not be considered for employment.
