Machine Programmer III
Job Description
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Machine Programmer opportunity located in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities:
- Development of machining strategy to take design data and produce machined hardware
- Develop manufacturing Mills/Lathes/Multi Axis Mills and Multi Axis Lathes/VTLs
- Concept manufacturing plans
- Develop programs
- Design custom tools and fixtures as needed
- Develop set-up sheets
- Communicate with designers and machinists
- Design for manufacture feedback
- Make-buy decision support + machine time estimates
- Process improvement (both machining actual inputs and administrative process changes)
- Maintain configuration control on files and job records
- Safely working within an industrial environment
- Material sizing
- This position requires a minimum of 7 years' experience in NC programming.
- Experience with Mastercam 2017 or higher.
- Experience with NX CAM.
- Vericut or other program verification software experience.
- Familiarity with Siemens 840D machine control.
- Experience using TDM tool data management system.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.
- Must have nickel-based alloys experience.
- Stainless steel and aluminum experience a plus.
- Fluent in use of personal computers.
- Machinist experience a plus.

- Location: Huntsville, AL
- Pay Range: $45-$55/hr
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
