Position Title: Technical Program Manager

Position Description:   Our Eastside client  looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager with solid technical fundamentals, strong communication, a desire to lead, and a track record of successful product launches. The Program Manager will guide cross-functional teams through the product development process - ranging from requirements definition to product launch. The Program Manager will ensure the team stays on target and executes against aggressive product development deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment

  • Accountable for overall planning, execution, and successful launch for complex technical projects

  • Lead project teams through a tailored StageGate product development process

  • Work closely with product management to ensure we’ re building products that excite our customers

  • Tightly manage schedule, budget, scope, and risk as projects progress through the product development process

  • Drive collaboration and manage status updates at multiple levels including project team standups, technical meetings, and updates to the business/leadership team

  • Own the engagement with third party contract engineering and contract manufacturing teams supporting product development and manufacturing ramp

  • Serves as a process advocate for the continual improvement of how products are developed at Freefly

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven track record of successful product launches, including examples in consumer electronics and/or electro-mechanical systems

  • 5-7 years of project or program management experience, minimum

  • Experiencing driving alignment amongst software, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams

  • Must possess great ‘ feel’. We need to move fast and good hunches save time

  • Capable of ‘ rolling up sleeves and getting hands dirty’

  • A passion for building things, inspiring others with your skills & infectious attitude

  • Strong influence leader capable of motivating and energizing team

  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written

  • Experience working with international contract manufacturers and suppliers

  • A portfolio of built work that demonstrates familiarity with a broad range of high volume manufacturing techniques

  • Up to 15% of time may be spent traveling, including international
