Position Title:  Reliability Test Technician

Position Description:  Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity with our client in Redmond Washington for a reliability Test technican:

Job Requirements:
  • Prime responsibility will be executing reliability testing using established procedures and techniques
  • Perform a wide variety of reliability environmental, mechanical, optical, chemical testing, mechanical shock, vibration, HALT/HASA testing, environmental chamber operation and electrical tests per reliability engineer requirements
  • Maintenance/ basic calibration of test equipment and environmental chambers, develop reliability stress hardware specifications and procedures, write test programs for reliability testing and characterization, and assist in selection of new reliability lab equipment
  • Prepare test reports and communicate results and findings to Reliability engineer to facilitate root cause analysis and resolution when failure occurs
  • Support team in performing other Electro-Mechanical testing and measurements per product design requirements
  • Complete measurement method analysis (GRR), gage correlation studies
  • Set up test equipment for functional tests for PCBA and system levels, including product cabling, instrumented thermal and mechanical characterizations such as thermocouples, accelerometers, strain gages, power supplies, and data acquisition systems
  • Monitor product on test (understands test suites), and test equipment for faults and diagnoses and correct equipment issues
  • Maintain test data files, and databases and reports test status and non-conformances to engineering teams
  • Contribute to lab continuous improvement efforts, with participation in development of operating procedures, test methods, and error-proofing
  • Perform basic soldering, wiring, fixture setup and product labeling to track DUTs Requirements
  • Experience setting up computer hardware, installing/upgrading software and operating systems as required

Job Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
  • Is detail oriented with strong analytical ability
  • Able to recognize test and test part anomalies, trends and malfunctions
  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient with MS Office including Excel formulas and charts, word and power point
  • Skillsets required include working with computer hardware and components, electronic components, soldering, mechanical components and fixtures, accelerometers, strain gages, data logging, test tracking, and reporting
  • Associate’ s degree required (BS preferred) in technical/engineering field with 5-7 years of experience.
