Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract UX Designer 5 opportunity with our client 100% Remote (anywhere in US is acceptable).
Job Responsibilities:
- The main function of a UX/UI Developer is to develop, create, and modify user interfaces through and understanding of end-user needs.
- This role provides the opportunity to work with cutting edge AI programs.
- Engages with the business development team and/or customer early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers’ business problem/goals.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of the following:
- 10% schedule review and communicating/ training with team what is needed.
- 30% meeting heavy team; working sessions.
- 50% heads down.
- 10% overhead.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have 10 years’ experience with UX/ UI experience.
- Must have 7 years’ experience with ability to solve complex problems in the benefit of the user / feature work experience.
- Must have 3-5 years’ experience with design at a system level; have been working on developing an app from front to back.
- Must have Portfolio is required with resume.
- No Bachelor's degree is required for this role but a degree in Human Center (HC) design is preferred.
- The ideal resume would contain a Portfolio with impeccable finish, and esthetic design.
- Strong understanding and experience applying Human Centered design principles and best practices.
- Previous experience designing web app design systems - both visual and UX systems – required.
- Previous experiences designing applications incorporating generative AI preferred.
- Previous experience working with front-end devs to create working code-based prototypes preferred.
- Knowledge and application of accessibility UX best practices and principles preferred.
- Ability to present design concepts and explain their uses and function.
- Strong writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, high level of visual design polish.
- Collaboration and independence.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Location: Remote
- Pay Range: $62/hr. to $82/hr.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass a background check will not be considered for employment.
- ITAR obligations are associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a) (1), (3) is required.
